What is the recommendation on doing laser tattoo removal on a lupus patient, can it be successful or too risky? I'm interested in having laser tattoo removal with the PicoSure laser. But I haven't come across any reviews about people with Lupus STE having it done. Has anyone heard of it being successful or know someone that has?

Answer: Laser Tattoo Removal in Lupus Patients: Weighing Risks and Considerations
Yes you can stop the process, we have no idea how much will fade after one session but you can get another tattoo or coverup on the tattoo. Sun and tanning have no effect on the tattoo removal process. Best, Dr. Emer.
Typically you do not need antibiotics although I like to give them for these cases but AFTERCARE skincare is essential (see link). and 3 weeks after suture removal you need start laser. Best, Dr. Emer.
This needs a VERY specialized person they have to put metal eye shields, pre treat your skin to prevent pigmentation or ghosting, and needs numerous treatments. I suggest seeing an expert we do this all the time. the mediostar ruby or rhorer pico are best. Dr. Emer.
