I hate my philtrum - could lip filler help or would a lip lift be needed? (Photos)

I had a revision rhinoplasty in 2024 which I feel made my philtrum look slightly longer. Can lip filler help or is a lip lift the way to go? I really don’t like the lip lift scars

Based on your photos, the primary concern appears to be philtral length rather than a lack of lip volume. While lip filler can add fullness to the upper lip, it will not shorten the distance between the nose and the upper lip. For that reason, filler would likely provide only limited improvement.
If your goal is to reduce philtral length and increase upper lip show, a lip lift would likely be a more effective and long-lasting option. Concerns about scarring are understandable, but with proper technique and patient selection, scars are often quite acceptable.
A detailed examination of your facial proportions and lip anatomy would help determine the most appropriate treatment plan for your goals.

If you’re scar-averse → start with conservative filler first.

Lip fillers will not help. I recommend an eccentric lip, not a bullhorn lip lift. This does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. This takes 1 hour to perform under local anesthesia and costs $4,000.
