It is absolutely unfair to you, your surgeon and the plastic surgeon you want to follow up with once you return to the US. You should decide where you want the proper post op care and that should determine where to have the surgery. Anything short of that will lead to poor care
Thank you for your question. Most U.S. plastic surgeons will strongly encourage you not to travel out of the country to have your procedure. There are many good plastic surgeons across the borders, but in the unfortunate event that you have a complication, finding care here is very difficult. This can be life threatening, and I've taken care of a number of patients myself who have found themselves in this dangerous situation. You are much better off finding a trusted and qualified plastic surgeon nearer to you. Best wishes on your procedure.
