Where should Emsculpt Neo paddle be placed to treat love handles & lower abdominal pouch?

I had a consultation on Emsculpt Neo. They let me tried the Emsculpt Neo for five minutes. I want to get rid of the fat on my love handles and lower abdomen. I didn't feel any vibration on my right abdomen or my lower abdomen. They said that is because one side of my abdominal muscles is stronger than the other. The paddle was placed high up. Where should the Emsculpt Neo paddle be placed?

The Abdomen and Love handles ( flanks ) are treated with separate hand pieces. The ( EDGE ) handpiece cuff the waist between the hip bone and rib cage for optimal treatment. The Abdomen handpiece will be placed on top of the abs, contracting all the muscles simultaneously.

The abdominal paddle can be turned upside down for better contact on the lower abdomen. The waist paddles are designed to treat the sides on the abdomen.

My office did the clinical trial on the new flank (EDGE) applicators for EmSculpt Neo. A yet ago, I was the installation patient for our trial site &mdash; and placing the edge applicator in between the hip bone and the ribs is key &mdash; where the oblique muscles lie. There is definitely a sweet spot. Similarly, placement directly over the bulk of the rectus abdominus is the location for the applicator.

Thank you for your question. There is a different paddle for the abdomen versus the love handles. The abdomen paddle(s) are placed on top of your abdomen and depending on how wide the abdomen is, one or two paddles are placed next to each other ensuring a small separation so they do not touch. The "Edge" paddles are for the love handles and are placed on either side of the waist, just over the love handles area and are in fact hugging/cupping the area. The abdomen and love handle treatment cannot be done simultaneously. Hope this helps! all the best, Manish Khanna, MD FRCPC
