I've been considering EMSculpt for my abdomen in lieu of liposuction and a tummy tuck. I'm not seeking dramatic results, but I'd like to tone my ab muscles after years of working a desk job. I'm 41, 5'8", 165 lb, but my ideal weight is 155lb. I'm in excellent health, walk most of the time and eat a low carb, moderate protein moderate fat diet. I do hot yoga 1-2 times a week. What specific exercises are recommended to maintain results?

Answer: Maintaining Emsculpt Results It depends on what area you will receive the treatment on. For the abdomen we recommend performing abdominal workouts such as planks or bicycle crunches. For the glutes you can maintain results with weighted squats and banded glute bridges. Arms we recommend tricep extensions and weighted bicep curls. It sounds like with your regimen that you would have no problem maintaining your results!

Answer: Maintaining Emsculpt results Any exercises that strengthen the muscles being treated would work fine. Ideal candidate for Emsculpt typically have tight skin and thin layers of subcutaneous fat. These are the patients who have the potential of seeing changes in muscle definition. If you’re a candidate for a tummy tuck then you may not be a good candidate for Emsculpt. Try it and see firsthand if you’d like. It tends to not deliver good results if you can’t see muscle definition. To get quality assessments I recommend having a few in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons.
