2 days after getting threads put into my face and one side is grossly swollen. one thread that was put in hurt a lot. Thoughts?

Thank you for your question. Judging from the image you provided, I do see that one side is quite swollen. Because swelling is normal after receiving PDO threads, I am quite sure it will subside. It generally takes one week or more for treatment areas to heal fully. If you do not see an improvement after a week or so, I would recommend you schedule a follow-up appointment with your practitioner just to ease your mind. Swelling is completely normal after only two days have passed. Good Luck!

Facial .Threads are not permanent, so you can be confident this initial results are not going to be there forever. The swelling is part of this stage, so you have to give time for it to reduce and you can help by taking Ibuprofen and drinking water.

Thank you for your question and photo.  Regardless of my humble opinion from one mere photo, the prudent advice is to have you go see your provider for a short visit. Yes, there is swelling after thread placement. And yes, the swelling can be asymmetrical. But  your concerns are completely valid and need further looking into. If however, your provider examines you and finds no problems, then it would make sense to await swelling to subside which may take up to two weeks.  
You did not buy threads. You bought an experience. And having to reach out to others for answers, does not reflect and elegant experience. All my patients go home with a post treatment instruction sheet which has my cell phone number and the cell phone number of my clinical team. I keep in touch with all my patients through text, email, and phone to check on their healing progress starting the next day after their treatment.
