Restylane will typically take effect immediately. However the side effects which include bruising, redness and swelling can take up to two weeks to reside. So, it's best to gauge your results at two weeks. I like using Restylane for fine lines, but when your target or goal is volume restoration and lifting, I recommend Perlane or other products such as Radiesse.
Most HA fillers you see the results immediately. There is frequently some minor swelling that takes ~2 weeks to resolve. Follow up with your injector around 2 weeks. It's better to be conservative on your first treatment than overdo things. Especially with the lips.
Thank you for your questions! The effects of Restylane and Dermal fillers are seen immediately. Initially there will be some superficial swelling that will subside in 24-48 hours but the results can be seen at the completion of the procedure. You can expect superficial swelling for 24-48 hours and the product should be completely settled about two weeks post procedure. Some patients do need multiple syringes to achieve the desired result but this can be done gradually.
You should see an improvement right after your treatment, but swelling will hide it. You can expect swelling to last for one to two weeks, then you can assess your results. Keep your head elevated to help ease swelling, particularly when sleeping. You can use a few pillows to prop your head up.
Dermal fillers work immediatley in that the patient will see improvement following the treatment. However, the final outcome is realized generally at the two week mark after any potential swelling/bruising has resolved. Also, the smooth gel fillers work by attracting volume to the area injected (hydrophilic) which reaches its full potential at the two week mark as well. Therefore, it's wise to not over-correct without taking these concepts into consideration. We invite all of our injection patients to return in two weeks for a complementary check up to make certain our shared treatment goals were reached.
Restylane is a hyaluronic acid filler that works by adding volume beneath the skin surface. Treatment effects should be visible immediately. Following Restylane administration, some degree of swelling at the treatment site may develop and persist for several days. As the swelling resolves, the final result becomes apparent. Good luck.
Generally we describe hyaluronic acid filler servies as "zero down time." Strictly speaking this is not accurate. There is trauma associated with the placement of the product. You might even bruise. These factors cause swelling which must settle before one has a "final" result. This can be several day or more and possibly longer if there is any brusing.
The beauty of fillers, such as Restylane is they provide immediate gratification. A difference is typically appreciated during or immediately after the injection. Allowing for swelling, bruising and settling as the product incorporates into the skin the final result is seen in about 2 weeks. If you are not seeing a result it may be because you have not compared before and after photos or you may need additional product. In either case return to your provider to discuss to get his or her opinion.
Thank you for your question. The results of dermal fillers such as Restylane are immediate. You may experience some bruising and swelling and will fully resolve in 2 weeks. You can help decrease the risk of swelling and bruising by avoiding NSAID’s such as Ibuprofen before and after treatment. Best of Luck!
Restylane starts working immediately, so you should have noticed a result right after treatment. However, you will not be able to see the final result until swelling subsides in approximately 1-2 weeks. Treatment in the lips will last approximately 4-5 months, and above the nose 6-9 months? If you are not happy with your result after 2 weeks, I would recommend scheduling an appointment with your doctor to discuss your concerns. I hope this helps!
Teosyal is a brand of hyaluronic acid fillers. We often use different brands and products in the same areas, sometimes even at the same visit. I would not have any hesitation in using Juvederm or Restylane after Teosyal.
As you can see, there are numerous over the counter supplements that may lead to excessive bruising/bleeding with injection treatments. We also recommend that our patients avoid alcohol 24 hours prior (red wine seems to be a culprit especially) with the fish oil/omega supplements also...
Home ultrasound units will have no effect on hyaluronic acid filler injections such as Restylane or Juvederm. They probably have little effect on the skin in general so I believe they are hardly worth the trouble or the expense.
