Can’t silicone gels help atrophic/depressed scars from an at home TCA CROSS nightmare? (Photo)

Question

I recently did a tca cross 100% at home. It got infected and now there are 2 large potholes/depressed scars on my nose .My dermatologist gave me a silicone gel for my scars. I read somewhere that silicone will stop collagen production. Did she recommend this product to me by mistake ? I figure I need more collagen production to raise up those depressed scars. It’s been three weeks since I’ve applied tca and i think i have a long way to go. Will this silicone gel (Silage) help?

Burns need a combination of:

2) topical growth factors, stem cells, antioxidants
3) oxygen facials
4) platelet rich plasma and A cell topically
5) sun protection
6) vascular lasers for redness such as venus versa IPL, excel V KTP, and pulsed dye laser/VBeam
After 6-12 weeks you can treat for hyperpigmentation with cosmelan peels, hydroquinone, retinol or non ablative lasers like clear and brilliant or radiofrequency like venus viva.

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.
