4 weeks post op from breast reduction. What's going on here? (Photo)

What’s going on here? (I see my surgeon in 2 days) Redness, two spots that look irritated. One has a tiny opening. I’ve been healing so well- what a bummer. All my other incisions look calm and normal. Thoughts? No pain no fever no burning. One did leak like a tiny bit of a cream/beige color dot. That’s it tho. Could it be the silicone strips I just started last week??

Your nipple has had some venous congestion, in that the blood supply out of it has been compromised by the surgery.  The pricking has relieved some of the congestion & it looks like your nipple has improved considerably. Time will tell how much will recover totally.  Sometimes this is just "...

Axillary breast tissue can be painful, and is best surgically excised. I most often do this as an office procedure with light oral sedation.
