I’m two weeks post-op. I had my surgery on the 21st of June. I recently started bruising on one of my breast. I purchased Bio oil as my scar treatment. What type of scar treatment does everyone use and is the bruising normal
Answer: Post Operative Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photos, your bruising looks fairly normal. With regard to scar treatment, I typically wait three to four weeks before starting any treatment. If you are concerned, I suggest that you follow up with your surgeon in person. Answer: Scar Treatment After Breast Reduction Hi and Thanks for the question. As you recover from your procedure, I would recommend that you follow the post-operative incision care instructions from your own surgeon as each Plastic Surgeon has their own protocols and recommendations. With regards to scar treatments, I usually recommend beginning these 4-6 weeks after surgery as it takes that long for the healing incisions to become scars. As for particular scar treatment recommendations, I would again refer you to your own Plastic Surgeon as he / she can best guide you throughout your recovery. Best of Luck!
