My doctor said I need to wear them for 20 hours a day, and told me I should change them 2-2 1/2 weeks depending on "if it feels loose" but I felt that that description was kind of vague, so I was wondering if I could get a more solid answer. I am not trying to speed up my process by any means, I'm just curious. And I'm also trying to avoid refinements, so if I should wait longer for my teeth to be completely in place, I will. Thank you in advance! :)

Answer: How often should i change my invisalign trays.
My opinion with this matter is that your TMJs should by symptom free before starting any irreversible changes to your bite, due to the fact that initiating orthodontic changes , regardless of Invisalign, in an unhealthy joint may actually make your symptoms worse.

It is likely that Invisalign could work for you. It depends on why you have the posterior cross-bite. Sometimes, these can be due to a narrow jaw and that will probably affect what you need. If it’s something simple, Invisalign has been known to work well for crossbites.
I could see why you would find this annoying as your tongue tends to find anything unusual in your mouth. I would call your doctor and explain the situation, especially regarding the tightness with your flossing b/c this could inhibiti the trays from working properly. Friction is the biggest...
