I picked skin off prematurely after a VI peel. Is my skin damaged or is it just going to take longer to heal? (Photos)

The appearance of your skin and the burning sensation are typical of skin that is peeled prematurely. You do not appear to have any hyperpigmentation (darkening) of that area, so you shouldn't expect any poor outcomes. It may take longer to fully heal. Make sure you apply the hydrocortisone cream provided in your after care kit liberally to soothe the irritated areas. It is also normal to peel twice, sometimes 1-2 weeks after the original peel. Make sure you follow up with your provider and address any serious issues to them

It will burn and seem tight until it heals, and it may take longer time for it to completely heal. If you start peeling again, as you described that it is happening with your chin, let it peel at its own pace. It is ok for some patients to peel two times. Best of luck!
