I had microblading done 1 week ago. Flakes are coming off, and I’ve stared long and hard in the mirror, but I don’t see any evidence of pigment left over. I don’t have oily skin, and I’m dry healing accordingly. Is pigment going to magically re-emerge in a week?

Hi krisngrey,Your microbladed brows are going to lose color and it may seem as though it has thinned out in parts in the coming days. Please wait until the sixth week after microblading to get a touch-up. The shape is great and the color looks fine.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.

During the healing process it's normal for the brows to become flaky and scab. Allowing them to heal without wetting them will help the skin to retain the pigment. This will give a better outcome. Dry healing seems to work best. Do not pick at the scabs.Best of luck!
