What is the difference between UltraShape and SculpSure?

Answer: UltraShape uses ultrasound while SculpSure uses heat to reduce fat. However, I suggest VASER hi def liposuction with RF skin tightening for the best results. It is in my firm opinion that SculpSure is the best laser technology for reducing body fat, surpassing other technologies including Coolsculpting and UltraShape. Many find CoolSculpting painful and requiring longer and more frequent treatments whereas the opposite is true for SculpSure. Furthermore, SculpSure allows small areas of fat to be treated allowing better contoured results that are customized to each individual. In my opinion there is no comparison.  Ultrasound has been in use in medicine for decades including therapeutic uses such as destroying kidney stones.  The mechanism of action is well understood.  The procedure is painless and true "body sculpting" can be achieved.  

Ultrashape uses ultrasonic energy to rupture fat cells. Sculpsure utilizes a laser to heat fat cells and induce them die. Ultrashape has a longer track record and now has a version 2 called Ultrashape Power. Although Sculpsure has research behind it, we are not sure that it will be as effective as Ultrashape or Coolsculpting. I would recommend Ultrashape Power or Coolsculpting

Ultrashape uses focused ultrasound energy to vibrate water cells, causing fat cells to lyse (implode) where the body can process the fat, permanently removing fat in the treated areas.  Because it is non-thermal, very little inflammation or swelling occurs, thus less discomfort.Sculpsure heats the fat cells selectively, but less so than Ultrashape, to cause fat cell destruction, then causing the body to process it as well.  Like other cold or heat-based therapies, it can be less uncomfortable after your skin and body adjusts to the temperature, but the discomfort after the treatments can be mildly to moderately uncomfortable.  Both these devices causes similar reduction in circumference.  However, it will never compare to liposuction in terms of dramatic fat reduction.  Nonetheless, these devices can be nice options if you want much less downtime, no surgery, and less discomfort.

Ultrashape uses ultrasonic energy, Sculpsure uses heat energy derived from laser light.  Both report permanent destruction on fat cells, however ultrashape has a 10yr history and multiple clinical studies.   Ultrashape is also much more comfortable than Sculpsure, to obtain fat cell destruction you really need to reach 45 degrees celsius, which is very hot and causes destruction of the superficial layer of fat which i find can lead to irregularity.  Sculpsure reports 12% decrease in fat per treatment (2 treatments gives you the 25%) they advertise, the new ultrashape gives 33% with 3 treatment, coolsculpting give 22-25% with one treatment.   Unfortunately, none of these will probably give you an inch off your waistline.  I typically get 1-2 inch reduction with liposuction, which I would correlate with a 50-70 percent fat reduction.
