The steri strip that was covering stitches at the base of the septum fell off (kept sliding down my lip) and now the stitches are exposed. I have stitches to the side of each nostril also, covered by strips. I am probably being extra anxious for no reason but is this going to be ok or should the stitches not be left without the steri strip? I'm in day 5 of 1 week recovery with another appt in 3 days. I am applying ointment and ocean spray but was not instructed to clean t(hence dried blood).

While the majority of the swelling in your nose seems to have resolved, the swelling in the tip of your nose is typically the last to subside. Continue to follow up with your surgeon and let him or her know your concerns. Best of luck!
