Would Profhilo effect a keloid scar (make it grow)? (photo)

Hi I was hoping to have profholio on my neck but located on there is a small keloid scar which I’ve had for over two years I’m just wondering would having this procedure on the neck possibly make this grow bigger due to the collagen production I would obviously try and avoid the scar when having the injections but Is there a risk of it growing

Unfortunately, profhilo is not the best recommended treatment when you are having a keloid scar. It is best to get a consultation with a medical surgeon so they can assess what kind of treatment will suit your skin type and avoid the potential risks. There are chances that the keloid  may or may not continue to grow over time but just to be on a safer side, it’s best to seek a consultation. Keloids are a complication and treatments have to be personalised according to that. It’s best to refrain from having a profhilo when you have or have had a keloid scarring.
