Cosmelan and reoccurrence of marks - what happens a year after the treatment?

I wanted to know what happens a year post the treatment ? Do the old marks and pigmentation return ? My acne marks have almost disappeared since my treatment and I'm worried about them reappearing and looking the way did they prior to my treatment. Do they come back? or what happens generally
