I ask my patient NOT to use vitamin E oil on their incisions after surgery.  Vitamin E can interfere with the inflammation that is necessary for wound healing.  I have seen incisions become very wide because vitamin E was used on them early in the healing process.Make sure you check with your surgeon before you put anything on your incisions!
