Can veneers make your smile wider? Help please

Question

I have had braces 4 years ago, the dentist said he couldn’t make my smile wider because they took my tooth out when I was smaller and he didn’t have enough space ( I didn’t understand him so well) when I smile you only see 6 teeth, I have had a problem with that since I was 13 ... I feel like changing and making myself happy ; I was wondering If veneers could make a smile Wider , I hope you guys can give me your opinions and help me out ! I want to smile with confidence .

One of the main reasons people get veneers is to have a wider smile! Many times after the braces come off, the upper right and left premolars tilt inward, narrowing the smile. This is an ideal situation for conservative porcelain veneers since the porcelain will be used to broaden the smile. Definitely seek out an expert in your area to discuss how veneers can transform your smile. Look to see before/after pictures of cases similar to yours!

It is hard to know without photos, but I would say in general the answer is yes. Veneers and / or orthodontics / Invisalign can make your smile appear wider. My suggestion is that you list what exactly it is that bothers you about your smile and speak to your dentist about it. In the event that veneers are the right option for you,  we will often take pictures and models of your teeth. We will then make a digitally altered photo and veneer mock-up (temporary veneers just for diagnostic purposes) to show you and discuss what may be the best treatment in hopes of improving what you don't like about your smile.
