I have extra nipples under each armpit along the milk line & was thinking of getting them removed. I have a feeling there might be breast tissue underneath as they look like mini nipples and protrudes/hangs out of my tank tops at the underarm area. I'm worried & wanted some peace of mind that removal is ok and is a right decision to make. I'm embarrassed by it but don't want to jeopardize my health or have side effects due to removal. I've had them since birth. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your question.  Aside from the risks of minor surgery (small chance of bleeding, infection, delayed healing, scarring) there are no general health effects associate with removal of accessory nipples.

Thank you for your question. No, removing extra nipples does not cause any side affects. These are only small nipples that have little or no breast tissue associated with them.They are easily removed if they are causing you embarrassment. The only issue is the scar that is created by their removal. It will look similar to a scar from a mole removal. Best of luck
