Do I have glycolic and salicylic acid burn? Now the skin's become dark. (Photo)

Question

I been using Cleanser with 4% Glycolic acid follwed by Acne Solution with 2% Salicylic Acid. At first there's redness in my right and left lower chin, tingling sensation eveytime I apply the products then days after it becomes dry and flaky, now the skin become dark. I ak so frustrated and so stress seeing this dicoloration in my face, it looks like I have a beared. I am so stress seeing my face with this, please help. Is this a scar from over exfoliation or burn? Hoc can I treat this and make it lighten?

The perioral area around the mouth is very sensitive and tends to be less oily than the rest of the face.  The area also tends to peel if exfoliants are too strong.  I would recommend discontinuing use for now until skin recovers, then try using it only once or twice to see if your skin tolerates it well. Also, wear sunscreen daily, always making sure it has zinc oxide or titanium dioxide in the ingredients, and re apply every 2 hours if out in the sun.
