My scars have gotten darker. Should I even be worried?

I got a breast reduction about a year and half ago. Once the scars healed they have been pick for about a year. These past few days they have gotten extremely dark to a purple/blue color. Is this because of the cold weather or should I even be worried? It’s never done this before.
