3 months post-op buccal fat removal - still have lumps on the inside of my mouth, is it scar tissue?

I am 3 months post op today. I still have lumps on the inside of my mouth. No pain. No bleeding. One lump is bigger than the other. Should I be worried? Is this scar tissue? Should I wait a month before getting steroid injections?

Obviously, it is important to examine you in person. I would recommend discussing this matter with your surgeon. It is possible that the incision points inside your mouth may still be lumpy. You can try massage. Again, I would recommend contacting your surgeon.Best,Dr. Gabbay.

The buccal fat removal incisions inside the mouth usually heal completely leaving almost an invisible scar. It is possible that sometimes the scar heal "bumpy". In case the buccal fat removal have "bumps" around it, the patient shall get that physical finding checked out by the surgeon that performed the operation.
