Would concerta affect my transplanted hair?

I had hair transplant on the 24 december 2015 and I started taking concerta (medicine for ADHD) 18 mg daily just a week ago. I'm worried that my transplanted hair will fall due to the side effect, is there any way to prevent this?

It is best to contact your doctor on medication issues.  Your doctor needs to know what medications you are on.

Always best to coordinate this with your own physician whom is prescribing the concert for you.  Based on our experience, Concerta not associated with hair loss, and in fact patients whom are taking medications for ADHD typically have quicker results anecdotally observed versus others.   We have noticed a quicker growth phase initially, a slowing of the growth in the subacute phase (months 4-8) and then resumption of growth back to normal levels.

This should not be a problem, but you need to check with your doctor first. Some medications do cause hair loss and there are reports that concerta rarely does this. The risk seems to be about 1%
