After chin implant removal, does edema & collected blood in the empty pockets resolve itself or turn into scar tissue and stay?

Hello i really want to understand how it goes with this healing process.I got my small 5mm eac removed 3weeks ago my chin still looks long and big. I am wondering is the empty pockets shrink back or is it gonna be full fill with new scar tissiue. I kept my chin implant only for 2 days!.
