Unhappy with Breast Reduction: still large 6 weeks post op. Is there any hope that I'll get smaller?

Hello and thank you for your question. 6 weeks is not, on average, enough for the breasts to settle following a reduction. I advice my patients to see me at 1 week and 6 weeks to monitor the healing. At 3 months we evaluate size, shape symmetry and degree of satisfaction. Be patient and contact you surgeon at 3 months for your review. All the best.Andrea Marando

Sorry to hear that your are unhappy with your size.At 6 weeks you should see the change you were after. Sometimes the breast takes longer ( upto 3 months ) to settle. So it is worth waiting.All the best
