Can you undergo SculpSure treatments whilst using low dose 10mg Isotretinoin?

I am a new user of Oratane 10mg, currently on dose 5, (taken every 3rd day) and I’m having really great results already for my moderate but persistent t-zone acne. I would like to continue taking it but also want to try SculpSure for my flank area, and wanted to make sure that my skin - where the applicator is used - is not damaged or scarred during the treatment.

It is recommended to wait 6 months post completion of Accutane (isotretinoin) before Sculpsure or any other laser treatment.

there are no medical studies on this topic. Older recommendations were to wait 6-18 months before having surgery if you were on Acutane. however, more recently, this has been questioned and it is not clear if there is much if a risk for having surgery. Since Sculpsure is totally non-invasive it is probably fine. if you want to be more cautious, you could wait until you were off the Acutane for 3-6 months before doing Sculpsure.david berman md
