What exactly is the damage that can happen from Ulthera being done on the trachea?

I was told they would not go over it, but they pulled the skin and treated it so there were clear markings on top of the trachea afterwards. I then had slight discomfort swallowing. I am concerned if this may have left long term consequences.

Rest assured, Ultherapy is not able to penetrate deep enough to cause damage to the trachea.  That being said, as a Facial Plastic Surgeon, I am performing facelifts on many patients that have had Ultherapy over the years.  Some, but not all have very dense scar tissue present similar to what one would see during a revision facelift, but without the benefits of a prior facelift. I have grown much more skeptical over the years about the risk reward ration with energy devices in general.
