I would always recommend thatit’s best to avoid any non-essential treatment while pregnant. The health ofyour baby is always a priority; women’s bodies can respond to pregnancy in avariety of ways, and it is difficult to predict how it may react to treatment. Whileincredibly rare, there is always a risk with any treatment of complications, and this is certainly best avoided while pregnant. Additionally, pregnancy tendto see women carrying excess weight, which is likely to be lost over a periodof time after the birth of your baby, this adds to the unpredictably regardinglong term results. I would suggest, if you are still keen to have treatment sixmonths after the birth of your baby, this would be a good time to begin toinvestigate the treatment further for yourself.
In my capacity as a trainer for Silhouette Soft we would not advise any treatments whilst pregnant. This is for a multitude of reasons- foremost the health of you and the baby has to come first. When pregnant our bodies sometimes respond in odd ways so outcomes and results are unpredictable. Also you tend to carry excess weight when pregnant which will tend to go postpartum, so this means you may not need the treatment. So in my opinion having any aesthetic treatments whilst pregnant is a no no.
Thanks for the question. While thread lifts are simple procedures, doing an elective procedure during pregnancy is not a good idea. On the rare chance of a complication, there may be further procedures needed. It not worth it in the third trimester. Also the body changes and you may go back to a normal state and may not need them!
Dear Bayart,You could in theory have thread lift during pregnancy, but it would be better to wait until after the baby is born and the extra water weight and baby weight is gone. The results of the facial Rejuvenation lift with be more effective post pregnancy, then.Best. Dr Brecht
Dimpling is definitely one of the PDO threads encounters, that usually goes away with time or gets milder. I don’t believe regular massage will help much. But if you open your mouth and massage the cheek with index finger from outside and thumb from inside it w...
Hi Simone, PDO threads are excellent for patients like yourself. Thanks for posting your pictures. Your jowl area isn’t too heavy, meaning the jaw line is well defined. Yet you have some mid face volume loss. Threads would lift the area back to where it belongs. You have to redo t...
I would say that it is not typical, but certainly possible. I prefer to use cannulas to inject into the tear trough area. Most likely a needle was used, which leads to potential bruising and swelling. It could be another week or two until this resolves.
