Can I put in abutment and crown on 2 year old implants? (Photo)

Question

I have 2 implant fixtures for 1 year and 7 months, and now I want to finish the treatment: the abutment and crowns. I want to know please if its ok to put them on or will I have any complications as I know the healing time should be 3 to 6 months. And can I put the abutments and the crowns during the same week? Thank you.

Waiting 2 years may be a bit too long, but so long as the implants have healed and the cover screw has stayed on, it’s not an issue. Your implants are buried so they need to be exposed, known as second stage surgery, so restoring them will take much longer than a week (most likely about one to two months). Now don’t wait too long either, as eventually the opposing tooth moves down into the space and creates a significant restorative issue. Best of luck!

Yes you can go for crowns now ,looks like the healing abutment was not placed during the implant surgery . So you need to go for healing abutment placement for one week and then go for impressions for the crowns .

yr opg is not clear[high resolution] . so please upload high resolution OPG ot IOPA. anyways if implant is healed, u can go for restoration. its my advice to restore it as soon as possible to prevent migration of neighbouring teeth and supra eruption of opposite arch teeth.
