Forgot to apply prep pad (acetone) before my Vi Peel, washed my face with Zo gentle cleanser only. Day 5 and I'm not peeling

This is my second time using Vi Peel, and I barely peeled the first time (very slightly in couple small areas), however it did add some glow. I'm just afraid that I totally wasted this peel by not first using the acetone prep pad. Did I mess up? (Age 43 w/ thick oily skin)

sounds like you didnt prep your skin for the peel or do the right application. I suggest seeing an expert and doing at home enlighten with dermarolling you will see more of an outcome. Best, Dr. Emer.

A few different things can affect your peel outcome. Firstly, you may not be using an authentic solution as it's only available to licensed professionals. Second, skin preparation is an integral part of peel application. If your skin is not thoroughly cleansed and degreased, the peel solution cannot penetrate through the stratum corneum. Lastly, peeling comes in many forms depending on your level of exfoliation prior to the peel. You can peel in sheets or just lightly flake. The peeling process is specific to the individual. We recommend you seek out a professional to administer future chemical peels as they are best trained in the proper protocols to achieve the best results.
