Am I a good candidate for Smile Care Club clear aligners? Any other affordable suggestions for treatment? (Photo)

I wore braces roughly 6 years ago, I have since lost my retainers and never purchased new ones. My teeth have shifted. I have a open bite and spacing. I would like to have an idea if they can help me before I have my bottom fixed aligner removed for their photo assessment and impressions.

Based on the pictures provided, I would shy away from Smile Care Club.Smile Care Club is a fantastic way to treat smaller discrepancies do to orthodontic relapse.However, based on your pictures, there is a lot of spacing and a open bite (meaning, when you close naturally on your back molars, there is a space between the front teeth).I would consult your regular dentist or orthodontist for other more affordable treatment options.

Open-bites are one of the hardest issues to correct in orthodontics and even when we are able to correct them, they often reoccur. The solution to your question is to first understand the etiology, or cause, of your bite problem. This diagnosis needs to be obtained by your family dentist or medical doctor.  This could be cause by a problem with your jaw bones growing asymmetrically, a past or present oral habit (thumb-sucking), a tongue-thrusting habit when you swallow, or problems with your airway or tonsils...etcOnce you have that answer, I think you'll be better educated on the best and most long-term solution for you.
