Retin-A causing darkening of skin. Is there anything I can do to exfoliate and fade these marks? (Photo)

I am an African- American patient on retin-a treatment. I am using 0.05% and it has been 2 weeks since I have started and I am now experiencing darkening of the skin coming in patches along my forehead. Is there anything I can do to exfoliate and fade these marks as they are very visual.

Thank you for your question. In my opinion, gentle moisturizing lotions tend to be more effective and least likely to induce acne flares. I recommend consulting with a board certified dermatologist in your area regarding further questions about acne and skin care. Take care and good luck.
