I started using Retin A 0.025%. Last night the side of my face was very itchy and I rubbed it too hard. I know the redness and overall itching is for a few weeks (started this last week). I just washed my face and applied more Retin A. Will it go away?

Thank you for your question. Tretinoin is photosensitive and reacts with sunlight, therefore, applying the medication at bedtime is recommended. Tretinoin is prescription strength retinoid whereas anything over the counter is not as strong. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified...
Thanks for your question. I guess it depends on how much you sweat at night or how oily your skin is. I think you will do fine by applying the medication 2 hours before bed. It is better than not using it at all. Good luck!
