I have performed a tumym tuck on an 18 year old after massive weight loss but generally prefer not to do so for concerns of future pregnancies. If you have completed your child bearing than I would not see a contra-indication to preceding iwth repair.
It all really depends if you are planning on having any more babies soon. It also depends on your anatomy and if you really need a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). If you post pictures, we may be able to give you more specific advice. Good luck.
Thank you for the question! It is certainly possible to perform a tummy tuck on a 20-year-old but I would require a lot more information to recommend you the procedure. It depends not only on the degree of excess fat but also on your skin laxity and muscle separation. In addition, your body mass index (BMI) should be under 30 for you to qualify for the procedure.A tummy tuck offers the most effective way to correct loose skin and muscle separation in addition to eliminating excess fat. Liposuction will also remove fat, but it can't address flabby, hanging skin that typically persists after weight loss. For this reason, many patients who have experienced a weight loss or recent pregnancy tend to opt for a tummy tuck. This procedure can also be combined with liposuction for maximum effect. An in-person exam with a board certified plastic surgeon is always the best way to fully assess your needs and address your concerns. Best of luck!
Hi. I would advise against a tummy tuck, not because of your age, but because you may well decide to have more children. Pregnancy undoes much of the benefit of a tummy tuck.
These can easily be combined but there are risks to the increased surgery and namely these relate to the increased operative time and potential for bleeding as well as clotting.
You can either leave it in or remove the piercing. It does not interfere with the surgery. Watch my video.
Just like no shoe fits every foot, hat every head or dress every figure, the key to great resits in Plastic Surgery rest on customizing the operation to the needs of each patient. Not all patients need a Lockwood Tummy Tuck. But those who do, SHOULD get it instead of a Mini Tummy Tuck as so...
