i recently had a large amount of calculus buildup removed from my mouth, however, my gums have receded to the point where the back of my bottom front teeth are bare, and slightly separated. The calculus formed a smooth shield between my teeth. Now that it's gone, my tongue is catching on the area, leaving the tip of it an irritated mess. I've resorted to pressing paper up against the back of those teeth to stop slicing my tongue. Is there a way to get my gums back? What can I do to fix my face?
