Can a crown have 2 posts, that is what my Dr is suggesting?

I have had a Crown and Post in a front tooth fir 30+ years and never had an issue, it has recently fallen out twice, One Dr is suggesting an Implant, but I just don’t want to put out of pocket $3000, my insurance is picking up the balance, almost $2000. Another Dr is suggesting a new Crown and a “double post”, which I can’t find any information about on line. I have no other Dental issues at all, that’s why he is suggesting this. Which is what I can certainly afford I’m 59 years old.

I would recommend getting a second and even third opinion until you feel confident and comfortable with your diagnosis and treatment. Most dentists would provide a second opinion free of charge.Good luck!
