What can be done to treat my vertical neck band?

Hi, I'm 18 and I have a vertical band in the middle of my neck. It shows mostly when I look up. I don't tense my neck for it to show, it shows when I'm resting, even looking down. I'm not sure if it's extra skin (even though I'm naturally thin) or a muscle in my neck? I'm assuming it's genetic since my mother has her own neck concerns as well. I'm hoping Botox will treat it but I'm not sure. Perhaps a Plasma Pen? I would prefer an affordable and easy treatment as well as appropriate for my age.

Thank you for your photos. You are young and the band is most likely your muscle rather than loose skin. A quick injection of Botox should take care of the problem. Plasma pen will only treat the surface of the skin and will not reach the area that is causing the problem.

Hello - yes! Plasma pen tightens skin, kind of like shrink-wrapping it. This would be my treatment of choice for this neck band. I hope this helps.

I would suggest starting with Botox to see  if most of the band can be relaxed to settle down and flatten. This is a very low risk and successful way to treat bands.

Hi there,

Botox would be an option.  It may help ; it will be something you will need to keep up on.
The plasma pen will not help.  A consult with a plastic surgeon would be appropriate as well!
