Gaps in aligners are important because when the occur, the teeth will no longer be gripped by the aligner and will stop moving. You can try chewing on "Chewies" which look like small cotton rolls made of firm rubber. The Chewie will force the aligner onto the teeth which will grip the teeth and pull them down. If they still do not fit after a week to ten days, best to make a new set of aligners.

Thanks for sending your question. Routine brushing and flossing, including the use of mouth wash while in Orthodontic treatment is safe to do. Please make sure you clean and brush your aligners prior to placement after each meal to keep the aligners as clean as possible. All the best.
