Hi! I'm in the process of getting a tattoo removed at a clinic that uses the PicoWay laser. I've had four sessions so far with okay results. I recently came across the R20 method, and I've seen mixed reviews. Some clinics and reviews say it removes the tattoo much faster, other say it's a scam as your body needs the time in between each session (or pass) to effectively clear the ink and heal. Hoping you can provide some more insight. Thanks!

This can happen after any laser treatments but can happen after laser tattoo removal of colored ink and needs more sessions to get it to lighten again. Lightening creams and cosmelan can help. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer.
