Im currently 19 years old and have double jaw surgery planned in about a year to correct an overbite but i dont think my overbite has to do much with the way my facial muscles pull when smiling. when i smile i get very fat cheeks with no definition in my smile creases with bags forming under my eyes. iv searched about my issue but i cant seem to find anything. what treatment should i undergo to fix this? ill provide my smile along with some smiles that i would want mine to look like.

Answer: Look int DNA Appliance and a neuromuscular orthotic to avoid surgery; if possible.
Without seeing pictures of your smile it is pretty much impossible to make a diagnosis. It may be a descrepency in the tooth size, or maybe an issue with your lips. Post some photos and we can give you a better idea of what to do.

Hi:Unfortunately I do not know of any natural ways to fix gummy smiles. You may be able to get laser gum recountoring which is very non invasive or need crown lengthening surgery to remove gum and bone. It's best to consult with a periodontist.Best,Dr. Maddahi
