I just had a root canal on my upper left wisdom tooth (tooth 16). The dentist put in a permanent filling. Do I need a crown for the wisdom teeth? Or is it alright if I just stay with the filling for that wisdom tooth?

Sometimes a high spot on a crown can cause the tooth to act up. When the high spot is removed then the tooth can calm down. You may also want to see if you are clenching or grinding your teeth which could exacerbate the situation. Clenching is when you grit your teeth together....
The baby tooth should come out pretty easily if it's loose. Usually when there's a crown, a pulpotomy was done and this may lead to the roots coming out separately from the baby tooth. If that's the case, you may need the dentist to remove the roots separately. Sincerely, Dr. Reiser
It is likely that the tooth hasn't fallen out all of the way, and that there is a piece of root in addition to the crown you see. If the tooth is very loose and mobile, just have your child pull it out. Their fingers are smaller and better able to grip the crown area.If you can't, or your child...
