Are there allergy tests for fillers?

3 months post-injection I had a terrible allergic reaction to Teosyal Kiss that landed me in hospital. Their best guess was that I was having a reaction to the cross linking agent BDDE. Months later I went to a highly renowned plastic surgeon who recommended, and injected, Teoysal Global. I have been using Global for about 2 years now, reaction free. I want to change products because it doesn't last longer than 2 months in my body but I am worried I will react. What can I do? Is there a test?

Most fillers are from a sugar molecule and therefore no testing is required. The fillers that are protein based can be tested in the forearm.

I am shocked and appalled to hear of your reaction, certainly I have never come across this issue personally.
Common sense would dictate that you can have a patch test on your back using perhaps 0.05ml of filler product initially just sitting on the skin and covered with a dressing  like tegaderm for few minutes. If it comes up in a big red blob you are allergic. If not I would inject 0.05ml intradermally and wait a day or 2 to see the effect. Probably let you leave the clinic in an hour if nothing has happened.
Although extremely unlikely it is advisable for the doctor to have facilities for resuscitation if you go in to shock again. (Which they should anyway)
