Accutane (isotretinoin) is an oral medication that treats severe acne called nodular acne. While taking isotretinoin, chances of scarring from cosmetic procedures such as waxing, chemical peels, dermabrasion, tattoos, and laser treatments increases. Scarring from cosmetic procedures is still a possibility 3-4months after stopping Accutane. I would recommend refraining from any cosmetic procedures for at least 6 months after stopping Accutane and to consult with your dermatologist before having any cosmetic procedures done.
