This is likely excess scar tissue but you might have also had a Darwinian tubercle which is a bump on the cartilage. I'd have to review pre-piercing photos to know for sure. Regardless, the scar tissue or cartilage can be removed to improve the contour of the rim of your ear. As Dr. Wallach pointed out there is a risk of this scar tissue returning. In many cases, post-excision injections of steroids into the area are required to minimize the return of scar tissue. This can be quite effective. In short, yes. That issue can be addressed. You should be seen by a board-certified plastic surgeon to get a full evaluation and proper diagnosis. There maybe different reasons for the excess volume in that area, even though it is most likely scar tissue.
