Though it is good that you are exercisingcaution during your recovery from your rhinoplasty, rest assured that there areno dietary restrictions when it comes to eating seafood after your nose job.Unless you are aware of any allergies, or are eating foods that are difficultto chew and are thus providing unnecessary stress to your recovering body, youshould be able to maintain your normal diet during this time. My only recommendationwould be to avoid foods that have a high salt concentration, as salt has beenknown to increase inflammation and swelling.
There are no issues with eating seafood after rhinoplasty. In general, you will want to avoid foods that are hard to chew for the first week after surgery. I would recommend following up with your surgeon, as he or she may have specific guidelines for you to follow. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.
That's a myth. You can eat whatever you feel like after surgery, although it is good to start with a mild diet to make sure you don't get nauseated from pain pills, etc.
Of course a patient can eat seafood--of any kind!--after surgery (assuming no seafood allergies).I know that this rumor floats around out there about not eating seafood after plastic surgery, but I'm not sure where that idea came from. I tell my patients that they're free to eat whatever they like after plastic surgery.Don't worry about the crab. :-)All the best,--DCPPearson Facial Plastic Surgery®
Fraxel on other areas of the face may be reasonable. I would not have Fraxel for the nasal skin within several months of a rhinoplasty. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of rhinoplasties and rhinoplasty revisions each year. Then look at the plastic...
Hi there, I took a look at the photos and I get the impression its relatively early since your surgery? Just curious how long ago you had the procedure. I'll give you my advice and opinion based on my assumption that it was within 6 months. First off, you had an open...
The width of the nose can be reduced and the nose can be deprojected with rhinoplasty. I would recommend an in-person consult with a board certified and experienced rhinoplasty specialist. He or she may use computer imaging software to morph a photo of you, which will give you an idea of how the...
Post-operative swelling influences the appearance of the nose, and can make it appear larger. I would recommend giving it some time and see how you continue to heal. In general, 70% of the swelling resolves after the first 3 months and the remainder goes down over time. It can take up to 18-24...
Thank you for your question and photos. It appears you would be a good candidate for surgical rhinoplasty - nonsurgical treatments are unlikely to produce a satisfactory result. This procedure will probably involve a graft to bring the columella down. The surgery is one of the more complex...
It is not abnormal for the tip to be turned up slightly after surgery, and it will normally relax to its final position within a few weeks. It is best to be patient during the healing process, as it can take some time. I would recommend following up with your surgeon, as he/she knows the extent...
