I am 8 weeks post laser resurfacing. Still some local redness and some areas that do not look fully healed. I want to know your opinion. tns recovery complex versus Neocutis Bio-Serum Treatment with PHP which one is better for speeding healing after laser resurfacing? Thank you
Answer: Neocutis Thank you for your question regarding Neocutis. Both products contain peptides and human growth factors which will promote healing. Residual redness can linger weeks after depending on the intensity of the laser treatment. Also, sun exposure is to be avoided and an SPF should be worn daily. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Answer: Melarase after skin resurfacing laser and Blue Peel
I have most patients use the Melarase creams after fractional co2 laser skin resurfacing as it can prevent PIH and hyperpigmentation associated with intense laser skin resurfacing.

Answer: Growth factors enhance wound healing
Growth factors are naturally occurring messenger proteins that control wound healing. When fibroblast cells are grown in culture they secrete these growth factors. It is this fluid around the fibroblast cultures that TNS is made from. Over 94% of the product is actual growth factor proteins. Over 150 different growth factors have been identified and they occur in natural physiological ratios.Neocutis has <5% identifiable growth factors. Neither product is intended to be a wound healing product and neither makes claims of that nature, but TNS makes a lot more sense for use for that purpose.
