Cystic acne outbreak after Morpheus8 - how common is this reaction?

I have had a Morpheus 8 treatment in the past and had overall good anti-aging results. 38 yo white female. I did have cystic acne outbreaks for several weeks after treatment which I had never had before this treatment. I’m considering repeating the procedure, but just not sure if this complication would be expected again or how common this kind of reaction would be. I followed all post op care instructions and I dealt with these sorts of outbreaks 3-4 weeks after procedure.

Unfortunately acne can occur as a side effect from lasers and microneedling treatments. This can be due to multiple reasons.. Your sebaceous glands can increase the oil production in efforts to heal the skin, all of the mcirochannels that have are opened thus leaving your skin more exposed to dirt and debris which can cause the breakouts, as well as swelling. When the pores tighten from swelling, oil gets trapped in the pores and as the swelling goes down your skin can go through a purging phase. There is a possibility your skin could break out again after another treatment, I would recommend keeping the skin very clean and moisturized but don’t over do the moisturizer, keep it light and simple.
