Would the Scar That Left on my Nasal Septum Influence the Shape of my External Nose?

After septoplasty, I found out there is a big scar left on my nasal septum, it is around the my left nostril. So will the shape of my external nose change cause of the scar?

It is difficult to tell on your own without a proper headlight illumination and a nasal speculum.  Shining a light on a perforation is unreliable as patients with intact mucosa (NOT A PERFORATION) but who have had a septoplasty may see light shining through the nose from one end to the other. ...

Revision septoplasties do have more risks, in particular, septal perforations. Perhaps your surgeon feels that even with minor improvement in the deviation of your septum, you would not achieve a significant improvement in airflow through your nose without placing you at risk. A second opinion...

There should not be external scars with a septoplasty, as the incisions are made inside the nose. In general, a small external scar is left during an open rhinoplasty. The goal is to make this scar minimally visible, and it heals rather nicely when the procedure is performed with precision. I...
