Im currently doing laser hair removal with the soprano xl, i consulted my laser Esthetician and she said i should be okay with the sopranos technology it isnt such a big deal anymore even if you do tan, because this machine could work on darker skin colors as well, as long as i am not tanning right before or after treatment, i would just like to know how true this is? Please help i have invested to much money into the hair removal to mess anything up.

Answer: Do not have a tan when you get Laser hair removal or IPL hair removal Thank you for your question. No, do not tan. spray tan or have sun exposure for a minimum of three weeks before and three weeks after Laser hair removal. This increases your risk of complications such as blistering, burning, hyper pigmentation and ineffective treatments. The hair follicles live deep in the skin and sun tan, spray tan pigment is more near the surface. Having a tan prevents the laser energy from passing deep into the skin to target the hair follicle.A mistake would be to turn the energy up to compensate for the tan. Then, a lot of energy will get absorbed at the surface pigment and you will get burned. It may leave permanent marks.Be careful!! Do not tan!

Answer: Laser hair removal You must not be tanned before your laser hair removal, regardless of which laser is being used, since your skin may burn, resulting in lighter or darker marks. You must avoid the sun for at least 4 weeks after any laser hair removal to avoid darkening of the treated areas.
